
The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has resigned his position.
A credible source told The Nation that Egbetokun tendered his resignation letter to the President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday, citing family reason for his resignation.
The president was said to have accepted his resignation.
It was gathered that Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG), Tunji Disu has been appointed as the new IGP.
