GOODWILL MESSAGE FROM AARE OLUMUYIWA AKINBORO SAN, TO THE EXECUTIVES AND MEMBERS OF THE NIGERIAN BAR ASSOCIATION, SAGBAMA BRANCH ON THE OCCASION OF HER 2025 YOUNG LAWYER’S SUMMIT
I am pleased to extend my heartfelt goodwill to the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Sagbama Branch Young Lawyers Forum (YLF) on the occasion of her 2025 Summit themed “The Evolving Advocate: Adopting, Innovating, Leading.” This Summit is a testament to the vision, dedication, and exemplary coordination of the leadership of Ogheneochuko Sampson, Esq., the distinguished Chairman of the Branch as well as Hyacinth Kelechi Urom, Esq., the erudite Chairman of the Branch YLF, whose commitment to the growth of young lawyers continues to shine through initiatives such as this.
The rich array of topics lined up, ranging from the exploration of evolving areas of law, to deepening financial intelligence, to crafting sustainable financial strategies beyond legal practice, and to understanding leadership within and outside the courtroom, will undoubtedly broaden the horizons of every participant. These sessions speak directly to the core competencies required a modern Nigerian advocate to wit: adaptability, sound judgment, financial stability, and transformative leadership.
I applaud the amiable speakers: Preye Agedah, SAN, Chief Robert Ayalla Enogha, Prof. Pereowel Subal, and Mrs. Ugwochi Agala, whose expertise and diverse perspectives promise to enrich the discourse and equip attendees with practical tools for navigating the dynamic landscape of legal practice.
This Summit stands as a significant step toward nurturing a generation of lawyers who are not only knowledgeable but forward-thinking and impact-driven. I salute the organizers for putting together such a purposeful, incitive and educating event and encourage every participant to make the most of the invaluable insights that will be shared, and may the insights gained today continue to resonate in your practice and leadership journey, reinforcing the values that define a truly evolving advocate.
Do have yourselves a successful, inspiring, and transformative Summit.
Long live the Young Lawyers Forum,
Long live the Nigerian Bar Association, and
Long live our great nation.
