GOODWILL MESSAGE NIGERIAN BAR ASSOCIATION, IBADAN BRANCH
I extend my warm congratulations to the Chairman, Executive Committee, and entire members of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ibadan Branch, on the occasion of your Law Week.
The theme, “Law, Ethics and Innovations: Sustaining the Future of Legal Practice,” is apt at a time when the legal profession is confronted with rapid technological advancements, evolving client expectations, and increasing ethical demands. It underscores the necessity for lawyers to uphold the core values of integrity and professionalism while embracing innovation as a means of enhancing efficiency, access to justice, and relevance.
The sustainability of legal practice in Nigeria depends largely on our ability to adapt to change without compromising ethical standards. Platforms such as this Law Week provide an invaluable opportunity for reflection, engagement, and the exchange of ideas critical to the continued growth of the profession.
I commend the leadership of the Ibadan Branch for its foresight and commitment to intellectual discourse and professional development. I am confident that the deliberations during this Law Week will be enriching and will contribute meaningfully to shaping the future of legal practice in Nigeria.
I wish the Association a successful Law Week and continued advancement in the service of the Bar, and the society at large.
Accept the assurances of my highest regards.
