The maiden edition of the Adesina Ogunlana Memorial Lecture will hold on Friday, September 12, 2025, at The Bar Centre, High Court Premises, Oba Akinjobi Way, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos.
The lecture, with the theme “Adesina Ogunlana: The Man, the Law and the Struggle for Social Justice”, will be chaired by Prof. Lanre Fagbohun, SAN, former Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University. Mr. Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika, SAN, will deliver the keynote address as Guest Speaker.
The late Adesina Ogunlana, who chaired the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Ikeja Branch between 2016 and 2018, was a fiery advocate, rights activist, and publisher of the anti-corruption legal magazine The Squib. He was at the forefront of several civic struggles, including the campaign that forced the Lagos State Government to suspend the controversial 2018 Land Use Charge increment.
Organisers said the memorial lecture is aimed at celebrating his life, ideals, and the enduring impact of his work in promoting justice and accountability.
