The Lagos State Government
Alausa, Ikeja
Lagos State
COMMENDATION OF LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT FOR HONOURING DISTINGUISHED PUBLIC SERVANTS.
I write to formally commend the Lagos State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency, the Governor of Lagos State Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu CON, for the recent recognition and award bestowed on deserving officers within the Lagos State Civil Service, particularly distinguished members of the legal profession whose service continues to bring honour to the Bar and the State.
The decision to publicly acknowledge excellence, diligence, and integrity in public service reflects a deep institutional commitment to merit, professionalism, and accountability. It is especially heartening to see legal practitioners who daily bear the responsibility of upholding the rule of law and strengthening public institutions, recognised not merely as civil servants, but as worthy ambassadors of the legal profession.
Such honours do more than reward individual achievement; they reinforce public confidence in governance, inspire younger members of the Bar in the public service and affirm that ethical service, discipline, and dedication to the public good remain valued ideals within our democratic system.
On behalf of colleagues at the Bar and stakeholders within the legal community, I applaud the Lagos State Government for setting this laudable example.
I encourage the sustenance of this culture of recognition, which undoubtedly motivates excellence and deepens commitment to service to the State and humanity at large.
Please accept my warm congratulations to the award recipients and my best wishes to the Lagos State Government as it continues to advance good governance, institutional integrity, and public service excellence.
Yours faithfully,
Aare Olumuyiwa Akinboro, SAN
Life Bencher
Senior Advocate of Nigeria
Past General Secretary Nigerian Bar Association
Statesman of the Bar
